People in Exeter are being asked to help shape the City Council’s budget for 2027/28.
The City Council has launched a consultation and is keen to get as many people as possible taking part in a short survey.
The consultation deals with the setting of a balanced budget for the next financial year.
Every year the Council must agree a budget which balances the money it spends on services with the money it has.
The City Council has received a three-year funding settlement from central government covering 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29.
This helps give the Council greater certainty when planning its finances.
Council Leader Phil Bialyk said getting feedback from people in Exeter was essential.
“We’re really keen to hear from as many people as possible, so that we can set a balanced budget that prioritises the key services that people in Exeter rely on.
“The survey only takes around five minutes to complete and is really easy to do.”
The survey deals with key issues such as housing, homelessness, the environment, local economy and service delivery. Those taking the survey are asked to identify their priorities and which areas should be protected if cuts need to be made in future years.
