The death of a woman in Torquay is no longer being treated as suspicious, following a forensic post-mortem.
Officers were called by the ambulance service after a woman’s body was found at an address on Teignmouth Road, Torquay, just before 9pm on Tuesday 27 October.
A forensic post-mortem was carried out on Thursday 29 October which found no evidence to suggest the involvement of a third party, and the most likely cause of death is believed to have been natural causes.
A man in his 50s from Torquay who was arrested on suspicion of murder will face no further police action in relation to the woman’s death.
Detective Inspector Jason Kelly said: “We would like to thank members of the public for their support and patience during this investigation.
“Our thoughts remain with the family of the deceased.”
